The Brazilian striker is also happy with the arrival of Antonio Cassano at the San Siro.
“I must admit I didn’t expect to have such a positive start straight away,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.
“If it went this well, it is because I worked in the right way. There was no particular secret other than hard work and belief in my own abilities. Adding in the belief of the Coach and my teammates, then obviously things were set to go well.
“At Milan everyone appreciates Brazilians and my family felt that too. I am so happy with the way I was welcomed to the club. As for the Italians, Rino Gattuso taught me what it means to play in a side like Milan. He never pulls out of the tackle, not even in training.
“I feel happy here. I want to stay at Milan for 10 years, then at the age of 36 I can hang up my boots.”
Robinho also commented on the arrival of former Real Madrid team-mate Cassano from Sampdoria.
He said: “I am certain he will be happy and help us to win a great deal. I already played alongside Antonio in Madrid and, if his head is in the right place, he can do extraordinary things.
“I also remember the number of pranks he played on me. He’s such a good laugh off the field, a generous and funny guy, even if he has a difficult personality.”
