The Welsh winger scored in Spurs’ 2-0 win over the Magpies.
“It was nice to get on the scoresheet,” he told Sky Sports.
“I’ve got a few goals this season and I want to keep working hard, scoring goals and most importantly helping the team.”
Spurs face Fulham on New Year’s Day.
“We’ve had a good couple of days and a good Christmas,” he reflected.
“We’ll be going into a big London derby looking for three points and there’s no reason why we can’t.”
