Baptista is set to sign a contract that will keep him at Malaga until the summer of 2014.
The 29-year-old will become Malaga’s fifth signing, as the club have already signed Enzo Maresca, Sergio Asenjo, Martin Demichelis and Nacho Camacho.
“I am very happy to be here,” declared Baptista upon his arrival in Spain.
“I am ceratin that I will settle in well because the side has many improtant projects ahead.
“Now, we must do whatever is necessary to finish off the season well.”
