The Mirror reports that the Spanish side are keen to bring in Adebayor on loan until the end of the season.
Adebayor has long been linked with a move away from City, after falling down the pecking order at Eastlands.
Real Madrid have previously been reported to be interested in the striker, but manager Jose Mourinho has recently denied that they will bring in a new striker in January.
