Gattuso said: “I agree on strict measures, but we must consider that there will be no night matches for the entire month of February and that already penalises the clubs.
“I also think that season ticket holders should be allowed access to the stadiums. If only three sides play in front of their supporters, the result of this season cannot be considered regular.
“We spoke amongst ourselves and I think the Players’ Association’s position is clear, we want our supporters. We cannot end this season without them, they are way too important.”
San Siro has not been allowed by the Government to reopen on Sunday, and AC Milan could be forced to play their home matches in the Champions League abroad.
Gattuso continued: “I believe our championship, which is one of the best in the world, has to be played here. We have to all calm down, Ultras and players, we need to change our attitude and respect the rules.
“I don’t see why we should move our Champions League ties. If UEFA had disqualified the stadium I would understand, but that hasn’t happened.
“I am only a player and I don’t have all the answers, I can only say that I basically agree with what is being done, but something needs to be changed, because the clubs also deserve to be respected.”
