It was a turbulent year for the winger, who was a part of the Bayern Munich side which won the double in Germany and lost in the European Cup final, but then was a focal part of the French side which was humiliated at the World Cup and faced accusations of misconduct in his personal life and a courtcase.
He told Kicker: “It was a very hard year with many difficulties. But now a new one is starting. I will not be making again the mistakes I made in 2010. I learned a lot in 2010 and changed a few things.”
