The principality club are languishing in 17th place, just above the relegation zone of the French top flight, and were knocked out of the French Cup to fifth division Chambery 3-2 on penalties at the weekend.
That lead to Lacombe’s departure, and Banide now takes charge of the club for the second time, having previously managed Monaco during the 2006-7 campaign.
