The 25-year-old joins FC Copenhagen on a free transfer and has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club.
“I have had four fantastic years at Odense for which I am grateful. Now I am with Copenhagen because they play for the championship every year. They have the best team in Denmark and trying to achieve an important role in this team will be a huge personal challenge for me,” said Absalonsen.
“Johan Absalonsen is an extremely strong player who has often caused us great trouble when we have played against him. He is a courageous and intelligent player, and I hope that we are going to benefit from his skills,” said FC Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken.
