Magath insists that Dortmund are favourites ahead of the match.
“If you’re top of the table and at home, you’re obviously the favourites. We’re the underdogs this time but two weeks ago we did manage to beat the team in second place,” Magath was quoted as saying on Schalke’s official website.
“BVB play very well as a unit and they haven’t let the injury to Shinji Kagawa affect them. They’re able to cope with the loss of players. Dortmund appear to be slightly better away from home at the moment.
“A lot of the players were very down after the 1-0 defeat against Hoffenheim, of course, but in training you could sense the players are up for the derby.”
