The former Netherlands Under-21 star will join Roda on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will replace Willem Janssen, who is set to join Twente in the summer.
“I worked with him for a while when I was still Ajax and he’s a great guy. He has the mental and physical attributes to develop in a great player and is only 22. He’s a great addition to our midfield and will become an even better player under head coach Harm van Veldhoven,” said Van Geel to Voetbal International.
