The new deal will keep the 18-year-old at Carlisle until the summer of 2012.
“Mark has really developed and grown,” boss Greg Abbott told the club website.
“The loan spell at Blyth was fantastic for him and we are definitely seeing and hearing the right things.”
Abbott continued: “What we’re aiming for now is that next season he will be pushing Adam [Collin] all the way.
“The key is that you only make these signings if you feel that players have a chance of making your first team, and we feel that Mark is giving himself every opportunity at the moment.”
