Arsenal injury crises deepens

While Arsenal hope Diaby will return shortly, they now have eight first team players sidelined through injury in the run up to the end of season title race.

Sitting 3 points behind leaders United with a game in hand, Arsenal are without the likes of Theo Walcott and club captain Cesc Fabregas – and resorted to re-signing retired keeper Jens Lehmann for cover in goal.

Despite the injuries, Wenger remains confident about his team’s chances in the title race:

“We are on a remarkably consistent run in the Premier League, have gone out in the Champions League in special circumstances, while at Old Trafford we could have got a result.”

“We just want to keep belief high, togetherness high and give our best shot until the end of the season.”
