The 30-year-old will be on loan at Leicester until the end of the season.
“I like pace, especially in strikers and he has pace,” Foxes boss Sven-Goran Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester.
“His record is very good. We hope he can help us win more games and score more goals.”
