The player completed a move to Sunderland in January after falling out with his employers, and Kombouare said:
“He saw Ludovic Giuly take his place in the team and he gave up. He put the blame on the rest of the squad and on me.
“He is a quality player but he decided not to come to training anymore, saying ‘I want to leave’.”
