Balotelli promises to change

Balotelli was dropped from the City squad as well as Italy squad which played against Slovenia and Ukraine – and criticised by both his club manager and Italy Football Federation member Giancarlo Abete, who said “he needs to mature”.

City boss Roberto Mancini, who has talked in private to Balotelli, said:

“I think his behaviour will be good…I hope that after Dynamo Kiev his behaviour will be good.

I think he wants to show he can change his behaviour in the last two months, because he lost also the national team for two games. It’s not a good thing for a young player like Mario.”

He added that the striker will be recalled to the squad for Sunday’s game against Sunderland:

“All the strikers will be available.”
