Ghana youngster keen on Palermo stay

The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer move away from the club.

“I am now reading in the media that I am rumoured to be moving,” the midfielder told the club’s official website. “This does not interest me at all.

“I have just renewed my contract with Palermo, and want to grow into an important player. I thank president Zamparini for giving me this opportunity.

“All I am doing now is following the advice of the coach and my team-mates, who want to help me improve.”

Acquah recently signed a new contract that will keep him at Palermo until the summer of 2016.

“When I joined the side in a training camp in July last year, I thought it would be impossible to play for the first team,” he added. “Over the past few months, I have worked hard to achieve my dream.”
