McManus have just returned to fitness following an ankle injury and his hoping Midddlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will give him a chance to stay at the club.
“I’m not sure what is going to happen. It will be down to the manager,” he told the Daily Record.
“But I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I am still enjoying it.
“I thought my season was finished and I was looking forward to next term.
“But I’m fit now and I’ve come on in two games and had one start, which has been great. Hopefully, it will continue and we can push on.”
