The 32-year-old has recently been strongly linked with a summer move to Brazilian side Flamengo.
“Juan’s future is at Roma,” Gerbino told Laroma24.it.
“There are voices which want him away from the capital because he is liked by different clubs, but he is happy to stay at Roma because he believes in the project there and he is happy to carry on playing there.”
“The president of Flamengo has a dream of taking him back to Brazil because the fans like him a lot, but there is a big difference between desire and buying him,” he added.
“For now he wants to stay at Roma. People should not think he wants to go to Flamengo as he wants to stay here.”
