The People reports that City boss Roberto Mancini will jet out to Italy on Sunday to watch Sanchez in action for Udinese.
Sanchez is also being linked with Inter Milan and Manchester United. City are hopeful that they can win the race for the winger if they move fast.
City are also ready to mvoe fast in order to sign Bolton’s England centre-half Cahill this summer.
Tottenham, Aston Villa and Liverpool are also reportedly keeping tabs on the defender.
