Sir Alex Ferguson claimed earlier in the week that United had a £17 million deal in place to sign the goalkeeper.
But the 20 year old’s agent said: “In the light of articles in various media that indicated he (De Gea) had been signed by Manchester United, he wants to deny said reports as it is not true he has been signed.”
