Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is ready to make a £12million bid for Cattermole, according to The Sun.
The 23-year-old reportedly has an escape clause in his contract with the Black Cats.
Dalglish hopes to complete the signing of Cattermole by the end of next month.
