The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of club, including Roma, Lazio and AC Milan, after impressing for River Plate.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurenttis has confirmed that his club are also keen on signing the Argentina international.
“Lamela interests us, that is now a reality. We are following him, although we recognise that it will not be easy to land him given the quality of clubs that have declared an interest,” De Laurentiis said.
