The 28-year-old will be able to join Middlesbrough on a free transfer when his contract at Roda expires this summer.
“I have been in England and got a tour of the training ground and the stadium,” he told De Telegraaf.
“Also I have had a meeting with manager Tony Mowbray.”
“I was very impressed. Middlesbrough plays in the Championship but has the attitude of a Premier League side,” he added.
