The 22-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Anfield.
He told Sky Sports: “Personally, I heard rumours about Liverpool, it is flattering but in reality I should be staying with Monaco unless a dream becomes a reality.”
Monaco have suffered relegation from the French top-flight and it is expected the forward will leave the club this summer.
He added: “I am very disappointed, it is a setback for us to go to Ligue 2, this is one of the biggest teams in France.
“It is a hard time.”
