Pastore has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days and Palermo claim they have rejected an bid from the Blues for the Argentina starlet.
But Pastore’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, has hinted that the 21-year-old would be interested in a move to the Premier League as he ‘loves English football’.
Simonian told Ontheminute.com: “Javier loves English football, but we have not had any contact with Manchester City nor Chelsea.
“Unfortunately we do not have more information than the articles that we read in the newspapers about the interest of those clubs.”
Palermo owner Maurizio Zamparini revealed on Thursday that they had rejected a bid from Chelsea for Pastore.
“Chelsea was a club that we had a major offer from,” Zamparini told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
“It did not reach the minimum figure that we set for a player of his quality.
“If somone wants to buy Pastore, the price is €50 million [£44m].
“There are five or six clubs also interested, including [Manchester] City and big clubs from Spain and Italy, but so far there has been nothing from them.”
The 21-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Manchester City and Chelsea.
