Overtoom’s contract at Ajax is set to expire in the summer and Bayern Munich are ready to offer the youngster a deal.
“I read in the Wednesday morning newspaper about the interest from Munich. It did not surprise me, because earlier this week I heard from my agent that Bayern are interested in me,” said the promising midfielder in an interview with Voetbal International.
He added: “I think I am good enough [to play for Bayern Munich]. The step needed to make it to the first team is not that big.
“The idea of moving to Bayern Munich is an attractive one, but the most important thing for me is to be welcome at my new club, and be able to develop further.”
