The Sun reports that Bruce will open talks with the Manchester United duo inside the next 48 hours.
Sunderland has agreed a £12million deal to take Brown, Gibson and John O’Shea from Manchester United.
But O’Shea remains unsure about a move to Wearside and Bruce is keen to seal the moves for Gibson and Brown.
