The Arsenal playmaker has long been linked with a return to the Nou Camp, but selling Villa to one of Arsenal’s rivals would probably make such a move less likely, as the Premier League club will not want to strengthen their rivals through the sale of Villa to one of them.
A source told Top Mercato: “Ideally, you want to keep Villa after the season he had. But you know that it is possible to sacrifice Villa to finance recruits, and both Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in him.”
