The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club.
“I will sorely miss this club and this city,” Bahia told Feyenoord’s official website.
“It will take time to get used to being (at Samsunspor) after all those years at Feyenoord.
“But for me personally it is important that I can be of value. ”
He added: “Samsunspor have a beautiful and large training complex and the structure of the club seems to be very well in order.
“The club is ambitious and wants players to obtain more. After talking with the coach I have a good feeling.”
“We are enormously grateful to Andre for his commitment over the last few years,” Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel said.
“That he has played here for almost seven seasons says much about this player and his character.
“His departure now is probably the best solution for all parties.”
