Liverpool were in for the Colombian’s signature but he has opted to sign for a team playing in the Champions League instead.
“They were the first club to show an interest in him,” his agent Jerome Barbadillo said.
“He is very happy, but is now focused on the Copa America – but he is aware of everything.”
