“The new gaffer has had a big influence on me. I never thought we would be relegated but he has come in and made some good changes.
“After training on Friday, we watched an inspirational tape. It was a tape of highlights of chances that we’ve just missed.
“It was about how those centimetres, inches are there for us to grab.
“We’ve got messages stuck up on walls at the training ground trying to get us going.
“And it worked so the manager deserves a lot of credit.
“There were messages from other players, like an interview with Marcus Bent and a quote of what he said over the past few months regarding relegation or what his job is for the team.
“All of the players are having a dig about what the others have said because some of them sound corny. But I do think they help.”
