Dianelli has been linked with a move to Serie B side Juventus.
Corvino said: “We did our negotiations with Dianelli at the same time as with Martin Jorgensen. We reached an agreement with Jorgensen, but things didn’t go so well with Dianelli.
“He has one of the best contracts at the club and we’ve offered a 40 per cent increase. I hope he stays as I brought him here from Lecce. It won’t be the club’s decision that he leaves, it will be his alone.”
