Napoli have returned to the Champions League for the first time in 20 years and face City in their opener at the Etihad Stadium.
“It is a fascinating challenge,” De Laurentiis told Radio Marte. “We will enjoy a really great experience.
“I agree with (City manager Roberto) Mancini when he says it’s a balanced group.
“For us, it’s important having won (3-1) in Cesena (in Serie A on Saturday evening) because we will go to Manchester with more confidence.”
