The 47-year-old has indicated that he is no longer able to work with club owner Lorenzo Serra Ferrer.
Laudrup decided to quit just hours after the dismissal of his assistant Erik Larsen.
“This situation cannot continue like this,” said Laudrup.
“From now on, Mallorca will be whatever it is Serra Ferrer wants.”
