Allofs and Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf’s current contracts with the Bundesliga side are set to expire at the end of this season.
“I am looking forward to knowing the facts with regard to both contract situations by Christmas,” Allofs told BILD.
“Then there will be a new period of transfers and we will need to start planning for the new season.
“So far there have not been any talks. No one has agreed dates. We will now start to agree dates for negotiations on those contracts.
“If the club is willing to agree new contracts with Thomas Schaaf and myself, we will think about this.
“Still, I feel this is not a main point of discussion for anyone but us.”
