Ruben told skysports.com: “During last season I received contact from clubs in England, but Real Madrid rejected them as they had injury problems with Woodgate and Helguera.
“This season I am playing and I am happy, the results are good and that is good for the players.
“For me the chance to move to Manchester United would be spectacular, but I don’t want to think about theory – only reality.
“It is logical that this is good for me as it demonstrates that I am playing well.
“If an offer arrives then I would want a meeting between all parties to decide my future.”
