Negredo’s previous deal was due to expire in 2014, but his new and improved deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.
Sevilla have also inserted a buy-out clause of €50million in the 26-year-old’s deal.
“Alvaro is a very important player for us and a big part of the future for this,” del Nido told the club’s official website.
“By this move we have discarded his sale.”
Negredo was strongly linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham during the summer.
“I am content because this is the best choice,” noted Negredo.
“In the summer I received many offers but I wanted to follow here.”
