Hargreaves made his first appearance for City in the Carling Cup win over Birmingham. The midfielder is now expected to take part in two behind-closed-doors friendlies during the international break.
“He’s in good shape,” said City coach David Platt in the Manchester Evening News.
“When the boys get back from the international break, Owen should be there or thereabouts with his own full pre-season under him.”
