Reports earlier on Wednesday suggested that Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire were interested in signing the highly-rated defender.
“These stories are nothing to do with Rio. We have never discussed anything beyond life at Manchester United because that is all he cares about,” Ferdinand’s representative Jamie Moralee told Press Association Sport.
Ferdinand has been struggling with injuries in recent seasons at Old Trafford.
