The 22-year-old was linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City after winning the Golden Boot award at the 2010 World Cup.
“After the World Cup I refused several offers, including one from Chelsea,” he told Sport-Bild. “It was an honour because this does not happen every day.
“But I did not think it made sense to make the move at such a young age.”
Muller believes it would be wrong of him to move to England when he was just 20-years-old.
He added: “A change would have been nonsense after my first year as a pro. At my age you have to play.”
Muller insists he is happy at Bayern Munich and has no plans to leave the Bundesliga giants.
“I simply feel comfortable here,” he added. “You can almost say that I’m ‘living’ FC Bayern.”
