The 17-year-old has recently been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester city and Chelsea, but Everton are keen to keep the youngster at the club.
The BBC reports that Everton expect Barkley to sign a five-year contract when he turns 18-years-old in December.
Barkley is regarded as Everton’s finest product since current Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
