Ayew has been linked with a host of European clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Sevilla and Schalke in recent months.
Ayew was expected to join Arsenal in a €13million deal over the summer.
“The day we returned I told the coach I’d stay,” he told L’Equipe.
“It was my desire, even though in football you never know what can happen.
“It wasn’t a great heartache and I absolutely was not unsettled. I’m lucky to be at Marseille.
“Arsenal? There’s everything, the stadium, team, training complex, finances, that’s the image a lot of players dream of.”
