The Sun reports that Marseille boss Didier Deschamps is keen to bring in the England hitman in January.
Deschamps spent time at Chelsea in the 1999-2000 season, while Cole was in the Blues’ academy.
West Ham are reportedly looking at around £6million for the 28-year-old striker.
