The 20-year-old has recently been strongly linked with a move to Sunderland in the January transfer window.
Nurnberg manager Dieter Hecking told Swiss newspaper BLICK: “Admir Mehmedi of FC Zurich is definitely very young and a very interesting striker.
“He will certainly not come cheap at any time.”
