Chelsea boss rules out striker move

Nicolas Anelka has already agreed a move to Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in January, while Dider Drogba and Salomon Kalou will be unavailable for around four weeks due to the African Cup of Nations.

“I don’t think so,” said Villas-Boas when asked if he would bring in a new striker in January.

“Sometimes teams generate more goalscoring opportunities for certain people. We are within Man City’s range as the most attacking team.

“But we created for different players. That’s why we have our goal sheet spread out through everybody, from (Frank) Lampard, to Sturridge, to Raul (Meireles), to (Juan) Mata. It’s pretty diverse.”
