Moscow’s respected Sovietsky Sport daily reports that Zenit are keen to sign the midfielder and that Arsenal are ready to hold talks with the Russian side over a deal.
“We are always interested in Arshavin,” Zenit director Igor Korneyev told Sovietsky Sport.
“But I can neither confirm nor deny whether we have received an offer.”
Arsenal are prepared to sell the midfielder for his original transfer fee of €16.5million.
