The 21-year-old has been on-loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf since the summer of 2010.
“Maximilian is a fantastic talent,” Klopp told Westdeutsche Zeitung. “He is a real topic and it is obvious we are talking about such a player regularly.
“He is an extremely exciting player, he should be able to transform his performances from Bundesliga 2 to Bundesliga 1.”
