A long goal kick forward from Villa keeper Brad Guzan saw Thomas Vermaelen try to pass to Per Mertesacker but Marc Albrighton managed to nip in and went through to finish low.
Albrighton’s goal will also benefit a good cause because Premier League sponsor Barclays will give the winger £20,000 to donate to a charity of his choice.
