The new deal will keep the 20-year-old at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2016.
“We are delighted to announce that Andros Townsend has signed a new contract with the club until 2016,” read a statement released on the club’s official website.
“The lightning winger has made an impressive transition to first team football and opened the scoring in his first appearance in our colours during the FA Cup third round match against Charlton Athletic in January.
“Andros, who has also previously enjoyed loan spells with Millwall, MK Dons, Leyton Orient and Yeovil Town, has made a total of eight appearances so far for the club and also scored in his most recent appearance during our 4-0 win at Shamrock Rovers a week ago in the Europa League.”
