The Football Association confirmed their decision in a statement earlier on Friday.
Rosenior said: “They have made the right decision [to remove John Terry as England captain]. I just found it incredible that John could think he could lead England into the European Championships.
“There’s more to football than just going out and playing the game. John Terry, in this environment, is not helping the team. I don’t even think he should go to Euro 2012 – I don’t think it’d be good for the team. If the FA have taken away his captaincy then I think they think he shouldn’t play in that team.”
